Rainbow Cyclists has regularly scheduled rides on the first and third Sundays of every month.


The FIRST SUNDAY RIDE begins at 9:00 AM at the Solana Beach Amtrak Station. Meet at the north end of the parking lot. It is a moderately hilly ride for experienced bicyclists following one of these routes:

  • The Elfin Forest Loop. About 40 miles. Click here for a printable cue sheet in PDF format.
  • The Camino Ruiz Loop. About 30 miles. Click here for a printable cue sheet in PDF format.
  • The Rancho Santa Fe/Coast Loop. About 30 miles. Click here for a printable cue sheet in PDF format.
  • The Rancho Santa Fe/Santa Luz Loop. About 30 miles. Click here for a printable cue sheet in PDF format.

The THIRD SUNDAY RIDE begins at 9:00 AM at the Old Town Transit Center. It is an easy ride suitable for beginners following one of these routes:

  • The Mission Bay Ride is a 16-mile flat ride around Mission Bay. Click here for a printable plain-text cue sheet.
  • The San Diego Bay Ride is a 40-mile flat ride around San Diego Bay, with returning via the Coronado Ferry. Click here for a printable plain-text cue sheet.
  • The Mission Bay UCSD Loop is a 26-mile ride around (not over) Mt. Soledad, passing through UCSD and La Jolla Cove. Click here for a printable plain-text cue sheet.

Other rides will be scheduled from time to time. Notices will be sent to members via the Yahoo Group called "RainbowCyclists". All members are invited and encouraged to sign up for this group. It's free, and if you already have a Yahoo E-mail address, you can use the same user name and password for groups.

Membership is not required to participate in any ride. Ride with us, then decide whether to join.
